Review this year’s schedule of activities planned for Independence Day in Willsboro and Essex, NY!
The fireworks and parade will take place in Willsboro this year.
The fireworks will take place on Wednesday, July 3, beginning at dusk, which will be about 9:15 pm. They will be shot off in the field in between Paine Soccer Field and Willsboro Central school. The best place to watch them is at Paine Soccer Field or at the school.
There will be a Patriotic Hymn Sing 10:00 am on July 4 at St. Phillips Church in Willsboro.
The Independence Day Parade will also take place in Willsboro (not Essex) this year. It will occur on July 4th beginning at 11:00 am. The Willsboro Farmers Market will be open from 9am-1pm, Papa Dukes will be set up from 10am-2pm. This is where all the vendors for the 4th of July will be set up as well as the stage.
The annual 6.5K Firecracker Run is scheduled for July 4th at 8:00 am beginning at NEW Health (2885 Essex Road, Essex NY) with registration starting at 7:30 am. The entry fee is $10. This year the event will again benefit the High Peaks Hospice Rainbows for All Children program. Participate and run or walk to support kids who have experienced a significant life loss. The Kids Fun Run will start at 9:00 am at the Essex Ice Cream Cafe, with registration at 8:45 am. It’s free to participate and all kids who race will receive a coupon for one free ice cream.
